Welcome to the first Spirit Week of the 2022-2023 school year. We are excited to share the details of how the week will go!
Scary Spirit Week starts on Wednesday, October 26th, with a pumpkin carving contest in your home room. The pumpkin carving will take place, and a group of teachers will go from class to class to judge and award prizes on pumpkins and costumes. Wednesday is also Adam Sandler day, so dress up! If you are wondering what Adam Sandler day entails, wear loose and baggy shirts and pants or shorts at least one size too big. Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, or The Waterboy?
Thursday, October 27th, is decades day, where the students and teachers go back in time from the 1900s- to the 2010s. It's your day. So, wear whatever decade you enjoy
On Friday, October 28th, you'll get to wear the most comfortable clothes. This fun-filled day will be followed by an evening movie night in the small gym at the school, which will take place between 6 - 9:30 pm. Monster House and The Conjuring will be the movies presented. Admission is free, and candy and drinks will be available for less than a dollar, so bring some change.
Please remember to bring your student card and your blankets and pillows. Admission is free.
Spirit week will finish on Monday after the weekend on Halloween, October 31st. Monday is the day you can express your creative side and get the opportunity to win a prize for it. Costume day! The categories for awards are group costume, duo, and solo. Groups and teams have the chance to win candy, but the solo competition is split into sub-categories of its own, so there are more chances to win; the most creative, scariest, and funniest. In addition, each soloist will win full-size chocolate bars.
The school is excited to see everyone's scary spirit this week and the students' fantastic costumes and creativity. So, enjoy the week, and remember to have fun!
